Join Us for a Celebration of Modesty, Diversity and Unity

Join us on February 15 for HijabFest 2026 illuminated by the golden hour! This event is not only a festival curated for us by us, but it is also a space to talk, learn, and embrace the authenticity of our hijab, sisterhood, and deen. Hijabfest strives not only to empower Muslim women who wear hijab but also to recognize the meaningful decision to worship Allah (SWT) by choosing to wear hijab. Hijab Fest serves as a reminder that wearing the hijab is a personal journey that also brings women together, creating a sense of unity and support among Muslim women and the wider community. The event will highlight the beauty of diversity through different hijab styles and cultural expressions within the Muslim community. Our goal is to create a welcoming space where attendees can connect, share experiences, and strengthen sisterhood. For Hijab Fest 2026, we have an exciting lineup including a fashion show, interactive workshops, vendors, and more! It’s definitely an event you won’t want to miss. Remember, you can be stylish, confident, and modest all at once!

Women's Contribution In Islam

One of the most revered Muslim women from the time of the Sahaba is Khadijah bint Khuwaylid, the first wife of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). She was not only the first person to accept Islam but also a successful businesswoman, known for her intelligence, integrity, and unwavering support of the Prophet during the earliest and most difficult years of his mission.

Khadijah (RA) played a pivotal role in the foundation of Islam. She financed the Prophet’s work, offered emotional and spiritual support, and stood by him when many turned away. Her faith and courage earned her the title “Mother of the Believers,” and she is remembered as a model of strength, loyalty, and leadership. Her legacy continues to inspire Muslim women around the world.

Message from HijabFest Co-Head —

“As’salaamu Alaikum everyone, my name is AnikaUnique Cooper. I am a junior biology major with double minors in chemistry and health education with a concentration in community health from Pleasantville, NJ, and I have the pleasure of serving as the co-head of HijabFest this year. Hijabfest to me means empowerment. I had the opportunity to join HijabFest my freshman year and it completely blossomed me into the woman I am today. HijabFest made it easy for me to grow into myself and learn how to stand up for the things I believe in. Without HijabFest I don’t believe I would have the confidence to do many of the things I’ve done throughout my college career. I can’t imagine the person I would be today without Hijabfest.”
